Bulging

Reason Solution
Your lid may be bulging because it’s over inflated. Deflate the lid slightly in order to restore it to the correct level. Similar to your inflatable liner the air inside the lid will fluctuate depending on the ambient air temperature. Please note the air will expand during warm weather and decrease during cold nights
Your lid may be bulging because of an internal weld failure. On occasion, the internal welds can separate. This may cause the lid to become deformed or balloon in a particular area. If this is the case please contact us so we may provide some further assistance.

Deflating

Reason Solution
Misshaped valve Inflate the air chamber and securely close the valve. Wipe around the valve with soapy water to determine whether there is an air leakage. If you discover there is an air leakage, follow these simple steps:

1. Deflate the lid by opening the valve.
2. Prepare some hot water over 80ºC (176ºF) and place the valve inside the water for approximately 1 minute (we suggest wearing kitchen gloves during this part of the process to protect your hands from the heat of the water).
3. Wait until the valve has cooled. Once cooled, it should have recovered to its original shape. Repeat the test to ensure the valve is no longer leaking air.

Puncture To locate the puncture, we would suggest applying diluted washing up liquid to the lid. Bubbles should appear where the puncture is located. To fix the puncture you will require a puncture repair kit or epoxy vinyl glue.

Unfortunately, this is not a manufacturing defect and the Aftersales Team will not be able to replace the lid under warranty for you. Replacement inflatable lids can be purchased from Lay-Z-Spa or Bestway Store.

Lid Too Small

This problem normally occurs when a new lid has been purchased or replaced under warranty. The vinyl material the lid is made from takes approximately 6-8 weeks to fully expand. Factors such as the ambient air temperature or the heat of the water can help with the expansion.

Please be assured that this is perfectly normal and we have never had a lid that has not expanded to the correct size.
